Coventry Birder
trip reports
about me

This is a new concept for me having my own web site. Hopefully it will bring together my two forms of photography - Digiscoping and DSLR.

I have since stopped doing Digiscoping I purchased a new Canon 30D Camera plus the 100-400 IS USM lens at the back end of November 2006. Since then I progressed to owning a Canon 7D and changed the lens to a Sigma 150-500.

I have also been known to do a bit of twitching in my time and drift around The countryside armed with my RBA (Rare Bird Alert) pager. This has allowed me to gather a few photos of rare birds as well as the common ones that we see.

My other passions are driving and going abroad and hopefully this website will help portray the birds I have seen in South Africa, Gambia, Senegal, Morocco, Egypt, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Lithuania and Turkey.

I have also trapped and photographed Moths in my garden here in Coventry and there is a gallery for the Macro and Micro moths I have caught. I have since stopped doing this for a while but will take it up again when I eventually retire.

Lastly I have included trip reports from various places I have been to abroad and perhaps the odd trip here in the UK.

I hope you like this site. It has taken me many years to actually get around to doing it.
